Get up and running
New to WP Stratos? Follow these four steps to go from sign-up to a fully configured WordPress site.1
Create your account
Sign up at WP Stratos and verify your email address to activate your account.

Launch your site
Open the Cloud Panel and click Add New, then Create New WordPress Instance. Pick a theme, choose which hosting service to build on if you have more than one, and give your site a name. WP Stratos provisions the install in the background, usually within a few minutes.

Connect your domain
Open your site and click Change Domain. Choose Set DNS Records to point your domain at WP Stratos without touching your nameservers, or Set Nameservers to hand DNS over to a WP Stratos-managed Cloudflare pair generated for that domain. SSL is provisioned automatically once your domain resolves.

Configure your plugins
Add your API key or SMTP credentials in WP Postman so outbound email starts flowing, and confirm caching is active in Aero (it’s on by default, so most sites don’t need to touch it). WP Stratos Environment doesn’t need any setup, it just gives you a quick overview of the other two.
Migrate an existing site, with zero downtime
Already running WordPress somewhere else? You don’t have to take the site offline to move it. WP Stratos builds your migrated site as a new, separate instance, so the original keeps serving visitors the entire time you’re moving it over.1
Point WP Stratos at your current site
In the Cloud Panel, click Add New, then Import Existing WordPress Instance, and enter your current site’s URL. If the domain isn’t resolving yet, expand Advanced and enter the server IP directly instead.

Pick a data center
Choose Ashburn (VA), Los Angeles (CA), Amsterdam (NL), or Dallas (TX), whichever sits closest to the bulk of your visitors.

Choose your transfer method
The migration plugin handles the overwhelming majority of sites automatically. If your current host won’t allow it, provide FTP/SFTP details instead and WP Stratos pulls the files over directly.

Review the copy, then cut over on your own schedule
Once the migrated site checks out, follow the Connect a Domain guide to point your domain at the new instance. Nothing about your original site changes until you make that switch.
A migration never touches your original site. It stays online, exactly as it is, until you decide to repoint the domain, so there’s no downtime window to plan around.
