Before you begin, make sure you have a domain name registered with any domain registrar (such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains) and at least one WP Stratos site already created in your Cloud Panel.

Log in to the Cloud Panel
Go to my.wpstratos.com and sign in with your WP Stratos credentials.

Navigate to your site's domain settings
From the dashboard, select the site you want to connect your domain to. In the left-hand navigation, click Domains, then click Add Domain.

Enter your domain name
Type your full domain name (for example,
yourdomain.com) into the field and click Add. The domain will appear in your domain list with a pending status while configuration is completed.4
Choose your connection method
Select how you want to connect your domain. There are two options depending on where you manage your DNS.
- Use WP Stratos DNS (Recommended)
- Use External DNS
Point your domain’s nameservers to WP Stratos. This gives you full DNS management directly inside the Cloud Panel and is the simplest long-term setup.Log in to your domain registrar and update the nameservers to:Replace any existing nameservers entirely — do not add these alongside old ones. Wait for DNS propagation
After updating nameservers or DNS records, allow time for the changes to propagate across the internet. This typically takes between 15 minutes and a few hours, but can take up to 48 hours in some cases.

Confirm SSL is active
Once your domain resolves correctly, WP Stratos automatically provisions a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate for your site. In the Cloud Panel, navigate to Domains and check the SSL column — a green padlock icon confirms your certificate is active and HTTPS is enabled.
DNS propagation time varies depending on your previous TTL (Time to Live) settings and your visitors’ DNS resolvers. Most users will see changes take effect within 1–2 hours. You can use a tool like whatsmydns.net to check propagation status from multiple locations worldwide.
